Living Lands Purpose:

Role Purpose:
To support the PRESENCE Network with the attraction of external funding that can be used for either science, the improvement of existing and/or the development of new initiatives related to tourism, restoration incentives, marketing, nature conservation and the development of the PRESENCE Learning Village.

Main Responsibilities:
• To contribute to the creation and successful finalization of fundraising proposals;
• To contribute to the development of the overall fundraising strategy and budget, working across the charity to ensure effective information sharing, planning and delivery;
• To support the team with research into new business and sponsorship opportunities;
• To provide administrative support including updating the database with information in relation to PRESENCE activities, pre and post PRESENCE correspondence and the production of creative content for promotional material;
• To provide regular reports to the Living Lands staff in relation to all fundraising activities, budgets, prize and sponsorship approaches;
• To liaise with PRESENCE supporters and vendors to build relationships and ensure a seamless donor experience;
• To provide support at a variety of learning and social events either during the day or evening;
• To undertake any other relevant duties or projects delegated by the Living Lands staff, which are in line with the responsibilities of this role.

Experience, Knowledge and skills:
• Basic marketing and PR knowledge;
• Previous experience of fundraising preferable;
• IT proficiency to a self-supporting standard in Microsoft Office applications and Raisers Edge would be an advantage.

• Entrepreneurial approach to fundraising with the ability to identify and maximise opportunities with existing and potential new supporters;

• Desire to continually develop and work outside of comfort zone;
• Collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Ability to work on own initiative with little support required.
• Ability to work in an area that is highly remote with limited transportation.
