Cambridge (UK): The Cambridge Centre for Landscape and People will host the 3S Conference: Sacred Species & Sites between 24–26 September 2007.

The 3S Conference, under the umbrella of IUCN in cooperation with WWF and other organisations, aims to:
• Improve recognition, understanding and dissemination of the spiritual values of species and sites, connected with cultures and traditions
• Promote the integration of these values into policy, planning and management
• Facilitate dialogue on these values at cross-organisational and interdisciplinary level, and cooperation between academics, conservationists and spiritual leaders
• Demonstrate ways in which sacred species and sites can contribute to conservation biology, linking cultural and ecological diversity.
An art event and a circle of wisdom are planned, together with a conference excursion, a formal dinner and various meetings particularly in preparation for the World Conservation Congress in 2008.

Contributions for the art event and the circle of wisdom are welcome.
